The Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation was established in 1984 with sole purpose of serving as the fundraising arm for the Nathan Adelson Hospice.
As Southern Nevada's only non-profit hospice program, the Foundation relies on the support and generosity of individuals and corporate partners to ensure that quality care and compassionate support are always available to medically appropriate patients, and families, regardless of access to insurance, or ability to pay.
Each year hundreds of thousands of dollars are used to underwrite the cost of patient care and services, which are provided to terminally ill indigent patients and their families.
Special programs and services that go beyond the scope of hospice care are also made possible by funding to the Foundation and provided to all patients. Bereavement support groups, camp for children who have experienced a loss, pet therapy, water therapy, therapeutic massage, are just a few of the special services that are provided.
The generosity of the community makes it possible for all patients to live their final days, managing their pain and symptoms in the comforting circle of support provided by family, friends and the Nathan Adelson Hospice staff and volunteers.
Donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation in the form of commemorative gifts, outright donations, planned gifts, event participation or in-kind donations as well as volunteer hours are the various ways to help our patients and their families.
