Chief Compliance Officer
Jafeh’s journey in healthcare started with a medical degree (MBBS) from Nigeria. As a lifelong learner, he has always been drawn to understanding how health systems work best for communities and how to move healthcare organizations from good to best.
This journey led him from being a practicing physician in Nigeria and volunteering in underserved communities, to the United States. He earned both a Masters in Health Management and MBA in Health Care Administration, with roles in revenue cycle management, clinical/physician documentation improvement, quality management in healthcare.
Prior to becoming Chief Compliance Officer for Nathan Adelson Hospice, Jafeh was the Assistant System Director for Health Information Management at the Valley Health System. There, he managed the clinical documentation improvement program across the system.
He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and has also earned certifications in healthcare compliance, CDI, health economics, Lean Six Sigma etc. Jafeh sees his role at Nathan Adelson Hospice as an opportunity to merge his education and experience with the organization’s values towards improving quality and access in healthcare.
