LAS VEGAS – March 15, 2021 – Hospice Veteran Partnership of Southern Nevada and the Military Order of the Purple Heart organization will host its 2nd Annual ‘Welcome Home’ Vietnam War Veterans Day event on Tuesday, March 29 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Dula Community Center – 451 E. Bonanza Rd.

As part of a Level-Five achievement designated by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s (NHPCO) We Honor Veterans Program, several local hospices partner individually and collectively to host special remembrance pinning ceremonies, Vet-to-Vet Café’s and awards ceremonies throughout the year. In collaboration with the Hospice Veteran Partnership of Southern Nevada and the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the ‘Welcome Home’ Vietnam War Veterans Day event will feature a pinning and certification ceremony, panel of speakers and hosted lunch.

These groups partner at a local level to ensure that excellent care at the end of life is available for our nation's Veterans and their families, as well as provide opportunities for continued education and employment, in addition to offering programs that affect the mental health and overall well-being of those who have served.
