Nathan Adelson Hospice Achieves Level Four Status in

‘We Honor Veterans’ Program

LAS VEGAS – April 10, 2019 – Carole Fisher, president and CEO of Nathan Adelson Hospice, announced that the hospice has achieved Level Four in the We Honor Veterans Program.

By achieving this level as a We Honor Veterans Partner, Nathan Adelson Hospice is recognized as an organization that actively works to increase access to hospice and palliative care for Veterans in our community. Nathan Adelson Hospice will continue to provide Veteran-centric education for staff and volunteers, identify patients with military experience, and build professional and organizational capacity to provide care for Veterans while developing and strengthening partnerships with the VA and other Veterans’ organizations.

Chicago, IL – Nathan Adelson Hospice has been ranked as No. 45 among healthcare providers by Modern Healthcare’s 2018 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. Warren Wheeler, M.D. Receives National Honor

We are very pleased to announce that Warren Wheeler, MD, Nathan Adelson Hospice’s Senior Director of Palliative Medicine was named one of the 30 most influential leaders in hospice and palliative medicine by the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM).

Mike Mayer has been a resident of Las Vegas for over 30 years. He operates Abbott Trophies, a shop that he has owned for 10 years.  Earlier in his career, he worked in emergency medicine and years later, when he felt the “calling” to be a volunteer, contacting Nathan Adelson Hospice just seemed right.
