President and Chief Executive Officer

Karen Rubel currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Nathan Adelson Hospice. She joined the organization in 2007 as the Vice President for Development. She has extensive experience in major gifts fundraising and building development programs, along with strong leadership skills and strategic planning abilities. 

Executive Director

Caleen Johnson, CFRE, serves as the Executive Director of the Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation. Ms. Johnson is a seasoned and passionate leader, able to inspire organizations to achieve and surpass their goals. She is well known for her ability to cultivate lasting relationships with donors, business and community leaders, internal colleagues, volunteers, and board members.

Chief Financial Officer

Jon Wood is a seasoned healthcare finance executive, previously serving two hospice agencies simultaneously as Chief Financial Officer. Jon’s 17 years of healthcare experience ranges from large for-profit hospital systems (Tenet, Triad and Community Health Systems), to start-up physician partnerships. Jon has seven years of experience in hospice finance and operations.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Clevis T. Parker Sr., was born in Poughkeepsie, NY; and moved to New Orleans, LA when he was 15. He completed his undergraduate studies at Xavier University of LA. He received his M.D. from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, and completed his residency at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, LA, where he served as co-chief resident his third year of residency.

Chief Compliance Officer

Jafeh’s journey in healthcare started with a medical degree (MBBS) from Nigeria. As a lifelong learner, he has always been drawn to understanding how health systems work best for communities and how to move healthcare organizations from good to best.

Vice President of Employee & Volunteer Solutions

Rosamari McNulty is pleased to serve as Vice President of Employee & Volunteer Solutions for Nathan Adelson Hospice.  She has over 20 years of experience of increasingly complex responsibilities in the human resources field.
