Emeritus. Priscilla Schwartz-Hodes relocated to Las Vegas in 1991 and quickly made Las Vegas her home. She became involved as an active volunteer in a number of local organizations and eventually assumed volunteer leadership roles serving as a Director on numerous Boards in the community.
One organization that benefited from Mrs. Schwartz –Hodes generosity is Nathan Adelson Hospice. Ms. Schwartz-Hodes answered a community need when she learned of a shortage of bereavement counseling services in the community. It was her dream to recognize and honor her husband, Walter, and to provide NAH with office space for administration and The Center for Compassion Care's programs and services. She donated the funding for The Walter L. Schwartz Center for Compassionate Care building. Thanks to her generosity, Nathan Adelson Hospice can offer these critical services to the people who need them most and leave a lasting legacy to her late husband. In addition, she provides the complementary office space for Jewish Family Service and the Holocaust Memorial Center.
Mrs. Schwartz-Hodes has endowed scholarships for students at Cooper Union School of Engineering, George Washington University School of Law, University of Michigan School of Nursing, and the Jewish Theological Seminary. She has served on the boards at Nathan Adelson Hospice, Jewish Family Service, Temple Beth Sholom, and L’Dor V’Dor.
Mrs. Schwartz-Hodes lives in Summerlin with her husband Abe and has a daughter and son who live in California.
