Nathan Adelson Hospice is one of our community’s most trusted non-profit organizations. Many of the services we offer our patients and their families would not be possible without the support of dedicated volunteers. Each day we provide comfort and care for our neighbors in their final stages of life.
As Southern Nevada’s largest non-profit hospice, caring for over 300 patients each day, we offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Our volunteers come from many different backgrounds and bring with them unique qualities, professional skills and diverse life experiences. Yet, everyone at Nathan Adelson Hospice is united by a passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
Whether you choose an inpatient care or organizational volunteer opportunity, we promise training and continued support as you grow and learn in your role. In addition to patient care many of our volunteers choose to deliver meals for our patients, support our community outreach and fundraising event efforts and some spend their time working in our office. Our volunteers save Nathan Adelson Hospice thousands of dollars each year allowing us to put those funds directly back in to patient care.
As a Medicare accredited facility, volunteers must comprise 5% of our patient care hours. This makes the Volunteer Program crucial to the success of our mission.
