Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Clevis T. Parker Sr., was born in Poughkeepsie, NY; and moved to New Orleans, LA when he was 15. He completed his undergraduate studies at Xavier University of LA. He received his M.D. from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, and completed his residency at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, LA, where he served as co-chief resident his third year of residency.
After practicing Family Medicine for twelve years and Hospice & Palliative Care part time, Dr. Parker decided it was time for him to devote his passion to Hospice & Palliative Care full time. Although he would miss his Family Medicine patients, he felt there was a crucial need to those patients in Hospice & Palliative Care.
Dr. Parker was the Medical Director of Hospice, Palliative Care, & Home Health at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. Most recently, Dr. Parker was the Medical Director at Hospice of Yuma, in Arizona.
He received his Masters in Health Administration, with a Specialization in Health Care Ethics, at St Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA in 2014.
Dr. Parker has participated in numerous research projects and holds memberships in several organizations. Dr. Parker also serves on several committees, including NHPCO and Physician and Education Commitees.
He is board certified in Family Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Care.
